Lip reduction involves turning the red contour of the lip inwards into the mouth. Thanks to the scar being inside the mouth you will not show any signs of having had surgery – apart from your new thinner lips!
Preoperative
Before any surgery, patients must pass the lip-analytical procedures to analyse facial and lip structure and assess possibility of aesthetic result of a particular patient. In this procedure, international references on lip plastic surgery will be adopted to bring as much effectiveness as possible.
It must be admitted that not everyone gets better results due to congenital characteristics of lips. I will inform them the possible percentage and let them decide whether they will do it or not. This is the most important process that I encourage every patient to do before they decide to do lip reduction anywhere else.
Recovery
Swollen and bruises may be shown 1-5 days after surgery. But these can control by medical treatments. Stitches will be removed on day 5. Fully recovery will take 1-3 month for natural.
